Reading List for March 28-April 2

The spines of the books on this week's reading list

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but I was inspired by Jeff Goins’ regular posts on his weekly reading list.

Now, I’m not saying I’ll read all of these books this week, or that I’ll finish any of them, but I’m trying!

  • The Power of Less - Leo Babauta’s book on adopting a minimalist lifestyle in order to cut down on stress
  • Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters - I have a two-year old daughter, and I want to be the best dad she could ever have. I want her to be a confident, strong woman someday.
  • Trust Agents - If you’re a marketing type, you’ve no doubt heard of Chris Brogan and Julien Smith’s book, Trust Agents. Make no mistake: I’m interested in harnessing the power of the internet to sell art (I want to make a living and pay the bills doing what I love), but I think before I can do that, I need to get people to trust me.
  • Making a Living without a Job
  • I’d Rather Be in the Studio! - Of course, I’d rather be in the studio making art all the time. Alyson Stanfield shows us artsy types how to market our art. I like to think I know a thing or two about marketing (I’ve been in some form of advertising or marketing the past ten or twelve years after all) but personal branding and art marketing are different from marketing/selling books, hospitals, and air conditioners. Or not.

If you’re so inclined, friend me on Goodreads if you want to keep up with what I’m reading and my quick reviews. I’m afraid I don’t offer much insight there, but I do say if I liked a book or not. Watch me start a zillion books and never finish them! ;-)

What’s on your reading list this week?
